Sand & Snow 2-Day

This paddling destination is quickly becoming a guest favorite. With its blue-green waters and orange sandstone, Sand Hollow is an amazing backdrop for stand-up paddling, hiking, and photography. The lake is surrounded by salmon pink sand dunes, and red rocks.

Take your stand-up paddleboard around the small coves, or perhaps explore the red sandstone coves. Enjoy a healthy lunch while digging your bare toes into the coral colored sand.

Once you have thoroughly explored Sand Hollow, take a short, scenic drive to Snow Canyon.

Tucked quietly away in sandstone cliffs and giant black lava flows, the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve awaits. Originally established to protect the endangered desert tortoise and its habitat, the area offers fabulous hiking opportunities.

Scramble over fiery red sandstone and wind your way deep into the Hidden Pinyon trail. Sage and juniper scent the air, as you trek over ancient basalt flows. You might see coyotes, quail, roadrunners, or a canyon tree frog.

Anasazi Indians inhabited the region from A.D. 200 to 1250, followed by Pauite Indians. Mormon pioneers later stumbled upon it while searching for lost cattle.

This is the most value-packed and scenic multi-sport trip you could experience while in Vegas.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We have switched from using kayaks to SUPs on this tour. The decision comes from our committment to help fight the spread of invasive species. Kayaks are difficult to clean, drain, and dry. Even with a mandatory quarantine before use in Utah waters, there is always a risk of spreading mussels or invasive plants. Stand-up paddleboards have a much lower risk of transporting invasive species and are easier to clean, drain, and dry. Please note that although photos on this page show kayaks, we use SUPs on this tour. Thank you for helping in the fight to keep Utah waters clean.
