Our Equipment
We live in a harsh desert environment. With searing summer temperatures, sharp volcanic rocks,
and the occasional cactus, our gear needs to be able to handle any abuse we dish out. We buy only
the best equipment for our trips. Our boats are made of the lightest and stiffest materials
available; this translates to an easier, faster gliding ride for you. Our tents and sleeping bags
are top quality name brands, and our meals are prepared by our favorite local deli.

Our Kayaks
Our high performance boats are made by SEDA,
a California based company that produces superfast fiberglass, carbon, and kevlar hulls. We also use sleek kayaks by
Delta,
Necky,
Current Designs,
Prijon, and
Perception.
Used by racers and recreationalists alike, these kayaks cruise past all others
in the canyon with minimal effort. Rudders make steering a breeze, and hatches keep your belongings
safe and dry. Our guided trips will be always be equipped with these high end kayaks and paddles.
For those looking to save a few bucks, sit-on-tops from
Ocean Kayak, and
Bic Sports are also available for
self-guided trips and rentals.
Our Canoes
We use composite boats fromSEDA
for our canoe fleet as well as Northfork canoes from
Wenonah.
Canoes are just over 16 feet long, and hold all the luxuries for those overnight or weekend trips. No need to leave the
ice chest home in one of these.
Our Safety Gear
Any time you take a trip with us or rent equipment, you will be fully outfitted with everything you
need for a safe, enjoyable trip. Upon arrival, you will be fitted for a life vest and paddle. All
kayaks come with spray skirts, bilge pumps, paddle floats, and sponges. Everyone will be supplied with
a waterproof bag to keep the important stuff safe and dry. Rope is standard on all bows of kayaks and
canoes; so if you happen to forget yours, don't worry. We take care of all the details for you, leaving
you stress free to sit back and enjoy the scenery.
